There are 0 known issues at the moment:

If you see an empty repository please try the following:
- Try a boxee box reboot / app restart
- Try to remove the repo, restart the box / app, and add the repo again.

1. Clear the database on the settings tab
2. Remove the bartsidee repository, restart boxee, add the repository.

Hi Bart,
I’m checking out your Music Player App. It’s good stuff, thank you for that. Some minor issues in displaying information, but I can live with that.
Just a question: when I try to load my iTunes playlists, it doesn’t work. I placed the iTunes Music.xml file on the right place (you mentioned). When hitting the button “refersh playlist” tha APP is in a continuous waiting/processing mode, and nothing happens.
What’s wrong?

  Are you using afp(apple) or smb(windows)? Currently it only supports smb, also on the box you need to enter a pincode for authentication with your source.

    I’m using smb (Windows). I don’t get the chance to enter a pincode and I don’t even see a pincode (as you described). When hitting the button “refresh playlist” Boxee is getting into a continuous processing loop (nothing really happens…)

      Another hint (maybe):
      Using Boxee on my desktop, the APP loads the iTunes playlist (file is correct and on the right place though..) But when I click on the playlists, nothing happens (will not play the songs).

  Zoals aangegeven, probleem is bekend, maar lastig te debuggen en heeft te maken met de vorm waarin de streams worden aangeleverd. Zodra ik wat extra tijd heb ga ik ernaar kijken. Probleem is dat boxee hierin ook iet erg mee helpt gezien een openstaande bug http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-11410
  Oftwel ik moet een workarround voor een bestaande workarround gaan verzinnen, maar ik doe mijn best

Hello, the app has worked great for me! I have used it to watch Hulu-shows. But, it seems that the update today broke the Hulu settings. It now says that I connect from a Boxee box and it is not allowed. I think you had a script that showed something else than Boxee so Hulu didn’t know it was a Boxee.
You don’t happen to have a link to the old version?

Nieuwe versie van Bartsidee TV werkt als een trein. (eerder gemelde probleem is niet langer van toepassing). ** current version of Bartsidee TV works fluidly! compliments Bart.

Hi, I just started using both Boxee Box and Bartsideetv and I noticed that with both the standard player, and the beta, it does not remember the modules.

I’m not having any use issues with the app, just the modules not being remembered.

I’m at the current level of Boxee Box software.

Is this a know issue? I tried searching the Boxee forums but couldn’t find a matching problem.

  This is a known boxee issue for a very few people, see also http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-8951
  
  You will also have this problem in other apps as navi-x etc, just something to do with the firmware. There have been a few users who have reported a fix by:
  1. restore to factory defaults from the recovery menu
  2. update firmware from usb using the recovery firmware
  
  Doing this will remove all settings and there are no guarantees.

hallo ik heb sinds enkele weken een boxee box
maar RTL gemist wil nog steeds niet werken
is daar al een oplossing voor gevonden?
hoor het graag het zou geweldig zijn als het werkte.
verder een gezond en gelukkig 2012 voor iedereen met veel boxee plezier.

Hi, Just discovered your apps, fantastic. Been looking for a boxee music player where I can queue tracks for ages. Brilliant.

Just one thing: Once I’ve chosen a track and back-track to the artist list, it goes back to the top of the alphabetical artist list which is a bit annoying (for me). My preference would be for it to go back to the artist I just picked to play a track from rather than the top of the alphabetical list.

Hallo Bart,

Ik heb een boxeeapp (Windows) en heb onlangs uw rep geinstalleerd.
Alleen bij Bartstv crashed zowel uw app als de boxeeapp?
Heb ondertussen de rep verwijderd, herstart, en terug gereped, maar steeds dezelfde fout.
(zwart circeltje blijft draaien, stopt en springt naar bureaublad of gans het systeem blijft hangen)
Een gekende fout of is er iets langs mijn kant serieus fout?

  Are you using the 1.5 windows version. I would not recommend using it. It is not supported and contains a lot of bugs (which I can not solve importunately). For windows/osx/linux it is best to stick with 0.9 to have the best app experience.

Ik heb sinds vandaag de Boxee Box. Inmiddels uw Repository toegevoegd en vind het allemaal super.
Alleen ik vind de kwaliteit van Uitzending Gemist niet best.
Blokkerig etc.
Is hier wat aan te doen?

  De kwaliteit is hetzelfde als op de UZG website, maar uiteraard niet te vergelijken met een live uitzending. Dit is een beperking van de NPO.

Hi,

Chinese channels are an option but all of them simply freeze the boxee box. I have tried to test this on the pc version and media player. I have searched around and there does not seem to be anyone talking about it. Any suggestions?

Hi Bart,

First I want to say that your app is great : finally a way to watch Hulu with the Boxee. The only thing is that I have Hulu plus and it’s impossible to watch the TV show which are in Hulu Plus and I don’t understand why. I went on the Boxee browser to get connected at Hulu Plus, then I went on your app, but the tv show are just the one from Hulu, not Hulu plus. If I click on a TV show, I go to the browser of your app, it’s written “welcome Stephanie”, so Hulu Plus is on but impossible to choose any TV show.
Any solution or advice ? (Hope I was clear)

Hi Bart,
Fantastic work! I just bought a boxee box and with the flash issues etc felt really let down. At least I can watch BBC iplayer/Hulu now. I was wondering if it is possible to add 4od (UK) as well as BBC iplayer and ITV.

Help! Ik kan al een tijdje Bartsidee TV niet opstarten. Na het starten van de app, blijft “loading” in beeld en gebeurt er niets meer. Bij afsluiten hangt de boxee zich op. Eerder repo verwijderen, boxee herstart, repo toevoegen en app starten heeft niet geholpen. Wat kan ik doen?

i have problem to view videos from the different modules. But most i want to get animefreaks module to stream. the only thing that happens is, i chose a video and it says “loading” and the loading circle disapear and nothing happened.

I’m a noob about the boxee box. I just got today my boxee box, and I am very happy, but I have a problem, I am trying to add your repo in my boxee box connect it into my TV without success. I get a message in my TV: “ERROR Could not get repository information. Make sure the URL…..”

volgens mij ligt het op zijn reet bij mij werkt het in ieder geval niet of nauwelijks meer.
jammer was er erg blij mee.
Repo is steeds leeg reboot en opnieuw werkt ook niet.

Heb de afgelopen 3/4 weken een probleem met RTL module van BartsideeTV. Hij spoelt op willekeurige momenten stukken door. Als je dan terug spoelt doet hij dat bepaalde stuk wel weer gewoon. Het lijkt erger te worden tegen het eind van de aflevering.

Met UZG module etc helemaal geen problemen.

Iemand soortgelijke problemen?

  Helaas heb ik op het video gedeelte weinig invloed, dit wordt door boxee afgehandeld. Zelf heb ik het nog niet gezien, maar het zou best per device kunnen verschillen.

Het lijkt wel of RTL de fimpjes bewust door elkaar hutselt, soort beveiliging???

Had dit al gepost in het South Park gedeelte, en nu toch ook maar hier aangezien er daar geen reactie komt. South Park laat namelijk onder geen enkele region afleveringen zien. Weet je of dit tijdelijk is of doen we misschien iets fout? Alvast heel erg bedankt!

Hi Bart,

i use your musicplayer with boxee ver. 1.5.1. I have 11.000 mp3 files on my local hd conected with boxee. I organized my files as follow: \music\artist\album\filename.mp3

i have different problems with your musicplayer:
1. I select Artist it works. When i select Album it does not work
2. When I go to genre i see all my genres but when i select shuffle it does not work. But it’s not overall. Some Genres works. Is there a limitation?
3. Playlists. I have tried with itunes (xml) and mediamonkey (m3u). I have placed in my music folder an itunes and and Playlist folder. But it doesn’t works
Is there an option to fix this problems?

ken iemand mij helpen, ik heb ook boxee gekocht, als ik rtl4 ga kijken gaat het beeld springen lijkt wel of het stukken geknipt zijn dat die overslaan doet, en sbs 6 als ik gemiste wil kijken , dan gaat het op einde beetje vast lopen beeld en geluid hoor ik wel.

kom er oplossing ervoor of weer nieuwe update .

  Media problemen zijn heel lastig op te lossen. Als app developer kunnen we enkel de juiste url doorgeven. Het is verder dan zaak aan boxee om dit goed af te spelen. Bij issue in media playback ben je dus overgeleverd aan boxee en deze is helaas EOL (niet meer ondersteund). Enigste mogelijkheid is een andere video bron vinden. Ik probeer hier nog een keer naar te kijken.

Hallo Bart,
Heb vorige week de boxee cadeau gekregen. Na het aansluiten hiervan de update uitgevoerd en vervolgens de repository BartsideeTV geïnstalleerd. Daarna de Nederlandse tv zenders geïnstalleerd. Zag er allemaal goed uit, tv zenders werkte. Daarna de boxee uitgezet. Na opnieuw starten stond de repository er nog en alle apps/icoontjes waren nog aanwezig. Op de tv app geklikt en toen ging het fout, geen van de eerdere instellingen waren bewaard. Daarna van alles geprobeerd (o.a. Clear the database on the settings tab, Remove the bartsidee repository, restart boxee, add the repository etc.). Gisteren nogmaals alles gereset, gedeïnstalleerd en op kale Boxee (dus zonder externe harde schijf) Barttv opnieuw geïnstalleerd. Probleem blijft bestaan. Op de site heb ik een post gezien waarin dezelfde klacht staat. Slecht 2 van de vele honderden Boxee’s schijnen dit te hebben (iets van bug in de beveiliging). Bestaat er een oplossing of kan ik mijn Boxee beter omruilen voor een nieuwe?
